This new 4 session group for gay men who have completed at least one previous group experience with Dr Leight promises to take the work of self-discovery and growth to a new level using photography as a fresh approach to personal empowerment. Working with Howard Zucker, an amazing photographer with years of experience helping men see themselves with fresh eyes through his lens, the group will process changes in self-perception and body image. After the initial two sessions discussing our current feelings about how we see ourselves, the participants will have a private photo session with Howard in his studio. Howard will take upward of 100 photographs which may then be shared with the group. A follow-up individual therapy session with Dr Leight and two additional group sessions will provide a close look at how we see ourselves differently after the photo experience, how others see us and how we are affected by an enhanced visual understanding of our physical being. Howard’s experience has proven that seeing yourself through his lens creates a new positive sense of self which has the power to alter our way of being in the world. The emotional and psychological shifts are explored to maximize the potentiality of the results.
The all inclusive cost for the experience including the 4 group sessions, your private photo shoot and the 50 minute individual therapy visit is $645.
(Should you desire reproductions of any of your photographs you may arrange to do so privately with Howard at an additional fee.) Please note, there is a $250 fee reduction if you concurrently register for the Expanding Possibilities Group.
