Recognizing the lack of support for gay men both pre and post PC treatment, this group offers a safe and comfortable environment for men to support and empower one another after a diagnosis of PC. Dr. Leight’s background in medicine, mental health and clinical sexology provides solid facilitation for the work of the group. Topics will be directed by the group’s needs and interests, but will likely include information on diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment complications, dealing with coming out again and personal disclosure, having sexual relations with partners old and/or new, relationship issues, as well as self-image, body image, and self-esteem. The group will be closed after the first session and will be 10 weeks in duration. A no charge confidential consultation is required for participation, and the group will be limited to 10 participants.
